1.Select a method, press F2 2. Vpn for mac free trial. The refactor/rename box pops up in the upper right hand corner, but the app is non-responsive 3. ![]() Serveral seconds later Visual Studio crashes I've also seen regular crashes while working in XAML designer. EDIT: While generating you're recording I found a clue. It didn't happen on the first recording when I immediately hit F2, but the refactored method is being changed from public and I realized I removed the public keyword before I hit F2 before and that crashes it everytime. Please escalate; for me, at first my impression was possibly due to locating many references to the member variables (or methods), but I've watched the dialog box pop up that mentions only 6 references to 3 files, and it still crashes. At least on VS2015, this did not occur.Yes, there is a workaround: Search-and-Replace entire solution; but this is VERY undesirable in a large projects, in which if class member variables and methods resemble the same thoughout classes, in the late hours, you're prone to make human errors.Other (ridiculous) solution is to close the solution on 2017, open solution on 2015 and rename, then go back to 2017; rinse and repeat.
